The Intro to CPO is for entrepreneurs and small business owners who are considering using Oregon’s new Community Public Offering (CPO) to raise capital from their community.
We pushed the creation of these state rules with social entrepreneurs in mind, but any small business (50 employees or fewer) has the option to leverage the CPO.
We accept applications to The Social Pitch twice a year. People with great, early-stage ideas (projects or startups) that will provide lasting benefit to our community submit applications, and we pick five of them to present their ideas. Then, community members buy tickets to attend—they enjoy freshly-baked bread, a bowl of soup, and get a vote! All of the votes are tallied and the two presenters with the most votes wins the cash prizes.
