Springboard Innovation opened the doors to Hatch (officially) on January 30, 2014, with a celebration that filled the Great Hall to capacity. The event showcased the facilities, our tenants, and a host of local companies who provided food, drink, video services and more. Since that day, Hatch has made some serious progress.
It’s difficult to describe the sheer amount of work that has gone into the programming, event coordinating, outreach, facilities management, member management and build-out of the space. The core team behind Hatch is a small one. But with help from a wonderful group of fellows, volunteers and friends, Hatch is now a place becoming known across Portland as a place where people come together to get things done. Hatch is known for beautiful work and event space, an inclusive and friendly atmosphere, workshops with indispensable information for social entrepreneurs, and a community of people willing to engage with their community.
So, enough of the qualitative – how about some quantitative information?
